About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimating Professional to join our team at Santa Clara Development Corporation Defunct. As a key member of our project team, you will play a vital role in determining the costs associated with specific projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, organizing bids, communicating with subcontractors, owners, and suppliers to determine the financial needs of completing a project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimate Preparation: Gather proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Labor, Material, and Time Requirements: Identify requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Cost Computation: Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to compute costs.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Special Reports: Present special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Tech Knowledge Maintenance: Attend educational workshops and review technical publications to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Review and Evaluation: Review and evaluate cost estimates.
  • Communication: Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects.
  • Timely Completion: Ensure timely completion of estimates.
  • Scope Understanding: Understand scope of work to bid.
  • Vendor Management: Manage bid pricing from all vendors.
  • Cost Analysis: Prepare cost analysis.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in construction estimating
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Applied Science, Civil Engineering or related field
