We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing Paid Intern to join our team at Spruce Lake Ministries for the summer. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, event photography, and content creation while serving as a member of our retreat center summer team.

About the Role

This internship will provide you with the chance to develop your skills in social media management, graphic design, and storytelling while contributing to the success of our ministry. As a Marketing Summer Intern, you will be responsible for creating engaging content for our social media platforms, taking photos at events, filming and editing short videos, and assisting the marketing team with various projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and presentation skills, a passion for marketing and creativity, and a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ. A driver's license is also required to drive to the Pinebrook campus on occasion.

Responsibilities
  • Create and schedule engaging content for all Spruce Lake Ministries platforms, including Facebook and Instagram pages.
  • Take photos at Spruce Lake and Pinebrook events as necessary in conjunction with the marketing team.
  • Film and edit short videos to be used as Facebook/Instagram reels.
  • Develop other marketing materials as directed by the Recruitment Manager.
  • Perform other tasks as needed to assist the Spruce Lake summer team.

In addition to your work responsibilities, you will also participate in weekly staff prayer meetings, summer staff devotions, and marketing meetings.

Qualifications
  • A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform 'hands on' tasks as well as manage projects.
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms, photo editing, and graphic design tools like Canva or Illustrator.
  • High School Education/GED equivalent.
