Overview

As a Staff Nurse in our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), you will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 minimum, commensurate with experience and effort. In addition, you will receive fringe benefits including paid vacation, sick leave, health, dental, life, and disability insurance options, as well as generous employer contributions into retirement plans.

Job Description

As a Staff Nurse in MICU, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Applying nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patient responses to health and illness
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across settings
  • Developing and implementing patient care plans based on patient priorities and needs
  • Implementing evidence-based interventions to achieve expected outcomes
  • Documenting and reporting interventions and patient/family response
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A current license to practice nursing in Iowa
  • A minimum of 1 year recent RN experience or completion of senior internship/preceptorship
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
