Seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Medical Receptionist

We are looking for a skilled Medical Receptionist to join our team at Optum, providing exceptional support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday between 7:45 am and 6:30 pm, with rotation Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

About the Role:

This opportunity requires a highly organized and efficient individual to manage appointment scheduling, triage requests, and communicate effectively with clinicians using electronic health records.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Schedule appointments according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Triage incoming calls and messages using call processing functionality within the electronic health record system.
  • Greet patients, conduct check-in processes, and maintain accurate patient records.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • At least one year of experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant in a healthcare setting.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to access reliable transportation for occasional travel to cover other practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), preferably EPIC.
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated hourly salary range for this position is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour, based on factors such as education, work experience, and certifications.
