Radiologic Technologist

Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging procedures to our patients and physicians in a respectful and efficient manner.
Job SummaryThe Radiologic Technologist will work in a multi-modality imaging department, utilizing various types of x-ray equipment and computers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation safety and universal precautions, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities- Check patient identification and physician order to ensure accuracy of request before proceeding with study.
- Question female patients regarding the possibility of pregnancy and properly document information in record.
- Question all patients who receive intravenous contrast media and document information regarding allergies and medical history.
- Provide proper radiation safety protection for all persons, to include self. Follow ALARA, IMAGE GENTLY AND IMAGE WISELY.
- Strive to maintain the dignity of each patient by ensuring the patient is properly covered at all times; during exam and patient transport.
- Seek opportunities to assist in other areas during downtime periods and always make good use of time.
- Check often on patients waiting in hallways to ensure that the patient is covered and comfortable (Pain Management).
- Show leadership and teamwork in difficult situations and make appropriate decisions.
- Volunteer for overtime and fill-in when needed.
- Ensure the safety of patients by following all safety procedures while moving patients from wheelchair or stretcher to table and observing patient while on radiology table.
- Perform high-quality studies consistently.
- Work well with fellow employees to provide the most efficient use of the equipment and ensure that all requests from physicians and patients are completed.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Earned a Radiologic Technology diploma or degree from a college or university.
- Must be in compliance with CE Requirements.
- BLS required within 90 days of hire.
- At least one year work experience in clinic setting after graduation and accreditation; however, willing to train.
