Precision Machining Specialist

• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders with knowledge of CNC equipment to machine parts and fixturing.
• Setup and operation of hand tools and power machine tools.
• Checks work in progress and completes parts using precision measuring devices for adherence to specified configuration, dimensions, tolerances, and finish.
• Manufactures tooling that meets engineering specifications.
• Reads, understands, and interprets engineering drawings.
• Follows instructions and takes notes.
• Develops and builds tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges in support of and at the direction of engineering and manufacturing requirements.
• Works in a safe manner and performs housekeeping duties to maintain safety and assure proper maintenance of a safe and clean working area.
• Meets job standard times with minimal supervision.
• Follows all safety guidelines established by the company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.

• Able to fabricate and build various types of tooling.
• Experience working with jigs, fixtures, inspection check fixtures, and tooling dies.
• Self-motivated.
• Demonstrates a good attitude toward work and arrives on time for the start of shift.
• Follows instructions and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
• Communicates well verbally and in writing.
• Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity.
• Able to thrive in a team environment, work independently, and embrace continuous improvement.

• Possesses attentiveness to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and mathematics skills.
• Properly uses measuring tools and set up tools such as edge finder, indicator, micrometers, etc.
• Minimum 10 years' experience working with manual machines.
• Designs tooling using sample parts or prints.
• Good understanding of the manufacturing process.
• Able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand up to 10 hours per day.
