Job Title: Assistant District Attorney

Located in the heart of Lake Country, the District 20 office is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant District Attorney to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have prior prosecution experience and a strong background in criminal law. They will be responsible for prosecuting all crimes, from traffic citations to violent crimes, and will work closely with law enforcement, defense attorneys, and the bench.

The successful candidate will possess excellent writing and research skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and work with a diverse range of stakeholders. They will also be able to pass a fingerprint and background check and have no criminal history.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prosecute all crimes, from traffic citations to violent crimes
  • Work closely with law enforcement, defense attorneys, and the bench
  • Develop and implement effective prosecution strategies
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to county officials
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to achieve team goals

Requirements:

  • Prior prosecution experience preferred
  • 1+ years of legal experience
  • Juris Doctorate from accredited law school
  • Admitted to and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association
  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pass a fingerprint and background check
