About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavior Specialist to join our team at New Horizons in Autism Inc.

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and be certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer skill acquisition assessments, including VB MAPP, FISH, Essential for Living, and Preference Assessments.
  • Conduct functional assessments of challenging behaviors, including Functional Behavior Assessments and Functional Analysis.
  • Develop supported employment programming as needed.
  • Design, implement, and train stakeholders in data collection methods, skill acquisition programming, behavior support plans, and behavior strategies.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in ABA or a related field.
  • Current RBT certification, with a commitment to obtaining BCaBA or BCBA certifications.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Direct Support Professional or Registered Behavior Technician.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
