Paraprofessional Assistant for Special Education Inclusion Programs

Job Title: Paraprofessional Reports to: Principal/Head of School
General Description and Goals: The Boston Public Schools seeks a dedicated Paraprofessional to assist teachers in providing a high-quality education program for students with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with school staff to create an inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and social growth.
Responsibilities:
- Support direct instruction to students individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
- Assist with classroom activities, prepare instructional materials, and manage individual and classroom behavior.
- Supervise students on field trip activities and perform other related duties as requested by the Head of School/Principal.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, with 48 credit hours of college coursework or an Associate's Degree.
- Minimum of two years' experience working with young children.
- Current authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
- Certification as a teacher or license as a social worker.
