Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Consultant to join our team at Great Lakes Management Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing plan to promote our facility and achieve occupancy and revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed occupancy goals by effectively marketing the facility to prospects and referral sources.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of referral sources and execute a marketing plan to achieve budgeted census and revenue goals.
  • Conduct community tours with prospective residents, families, and referral sources, and provide clear explanations of our differentiated place in the market, campus services, and pricing.
  • Understand and effectively communicate residency requirements to prospective residents and their families.
  • Document prospect notes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist the clinical staff in coordinating new resident assessments.
  • Meet with key referral sources on a regular basis to develop and maintain referral relationships.
  • Document referral source activities and keep referral sources informed of apartment availability.
  • Promote and participate in lead-generating events for the public and referral sources.
  • Participate in weekly marketing meetings and 1-1 meetings with the Director of Marketing and Development.
  • Actively participate in sales training sessions and implement new skills learned in training.
  • Conduct a competitive analysis report on an annual basis.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of an annual campus marketing plan.
  • Maintain active membership in organizations that generate networking opportunities.
  • Maintain prospect and resident confidentiality.
  • Conduct all sales and marketing activities within the limitations set by the state of Minnesota.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or minimum 3 years of sales or marketing experience in senior housing or community-based services.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using a lead tracking software.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to self-start and follow through on initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Implements knowledge of sales techniques and strategies.
  • Knowledgeable of Minnesota's Fair Housing laws.
  • Able to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak, and understand English.
Physical Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to continuously perform tasks such as moving, pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing 10 to 25 pounds, using hands and arms for simple grasping, pushing, and pulling, performing tasks requiring actions of muscles or groups of muscles to walk, stoop, bend, lift, and to carry objects, walking and/or standing for prolonged periods of time, speaking clearly and making oneself understood in face-to-face interactions, seeing objects closely to read directions, instructions, etc., hearing normal sounds and voices with some background noise to receive verbal instructions, answer telephones, communicate with others, etc.

Environment

The successful candidate will work indoors in a climate-controlled environment for the majority of the time.

Working Hours

The work schedule and hours may vary from week to week, and the successful candidate may be required to work beyond the normal schedule, including weekends and holidays.
