Compounding Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Compounding Specialist to join our pharmacy team at Parham Doctors' Hospital. This individual will be responsible for compounding and dispensing medications, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in patient care.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to evaluate medication orders and maintain automated dispensing processes. You will also provide ongoing education and training to department employees and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compound and dispense medications according to prescriptions.
  • Evaluate medication orders and maintain automated dispensing processes.
  • Provide ongoing education and training to department employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Licensed Pharmacist through the Virginia Board of Health Professions.
  • Previous experience in compounding and dispensing medications.
