Job Summary:

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a part-time Pre-Arrival Advising Assistant to support the Pre-Arrival Advising unit of International Student and Scholar Advising. The successful candidate will provide office duties and communication support to four staff members, manage electronic communications, and attend office meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Pre-Arrival Advising team, including managing electronic communications and attending office meetings.
  • Assist with the management of student documents and maintain confidentiality.
  • Support the development and implementation of immigration regulations and policies.
  • Convey clear information to diverse and international populations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the team.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of immigration regulations preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
