Job Summary

In the Army National Guard, Signal Support Systems Specialists play a vital role in ensuring seamless communication across military units. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for integrating and maintaining complex signal systems, networks, and equipment. Your expertise will enable us to stay connected and effective in various operations.

About the Role

This position involves installing, operating, and performing preventative maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles, as well as providing technical assistance and training for automation and communications equipment. You will also supervise and train other Soldiers, preparing them for their roles in signal support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and install signal support systems and terminal devices.
  • Perform signal support functions and provide technical assistance for computer systems.
  • Operate and perform preventative maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles.
  • Provide technical assistance and training for local area networks.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess strong mechanical and electrical principles skills, including knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and line installation techniques. Familiarity with communication security policies and procedures is also essential. Additionally, interest in problem-solving and working with electronic equipment is beneficial.
