Director of Campus Engagement

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Campus Engagement to join our team at Earlham College. This is a unique opportunity to develop and implement a comprehensive approach to events that engage the campus community, local residents, alumni, and friends of the College.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage a college-wide events calendar, ensuring seamless coordination with various campus departments.
- Serve as a central resource for event owners and support departments, facilitating event planning and preparation.
- Maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, balancing their interests and needs.
- Implement and manage a college-wide approach to assess event success, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
- Negotiate and manage contracts for key events, ensuring successful execution and effective budget management.
- Deliver an annual report summarizing college-wide events and their impact, highlighting successes and areas for growth.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in successful event planning and management, preferably within an educational or nonprofit setting.
- Strong problem-solving and budget management skills, with the ability to handle and manage the unplanned effectively.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a commitment to diversity, teamwork, and ethical practices.
- Creativity and understanding of event promotion and management trends, with a strong analytical and critical thinking approach.
- Ability to manage high stress during peak times, such as the start of the academic year, homecoming, and commencement.
