As a Burn Unit Nurse Manager at the Detroit Medical Center, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our dedicated pediatric burn center. Your Role

We seek an experienced Burn Unit Nurse Manager who can drive our nursing operations forward. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership, clinicians, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that enhance patient outcomes, improve operational efficiency, and foster a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Staff Management: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of nursing staff to achieve high-quality patient care standards, recognizing their contributions to our mission and promoting professional growth and development.
  • Patient Care Coordination: Develop and implement effective processes for managing patient flow, bed allocation, and resource utilization, ensuring timely interventions and optimized outcomes.
  • Clinical Operations: Oversee the implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and quality metrics.
Requirements & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Nursing Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in critical care or pediatric nursing, preferably in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Education: BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure in Michigan; knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze data, prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions.
