Job Overview

FPG, a leading manufacturer's representative, seeks an experienced Accounting AR/AP Specialist to join our team. This role is critical to our financial operations, requiring a high degree of accuracy, organization, and effective communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for various accounting transactions related to both accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable: Process and review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.
  • Matching vendor invoices with purchase orders and processing payments in the ERP system.
  • Handle credit/debit memos and inventory adjustment requests from the Sales team.
  • Complete detailed review and process of employee expense reports ensuring all expenses have supporting documentation and adhere to company expense policy.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, as needed.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Process incoming payments and apply them to appropriate customer accounts.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue invoices.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries related to billing and payments.
  • Manage all new customers onboarding and set-up in the ERP system.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Requirements:

This position requires:

  • Proven work experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with an ERP system.
  • Must maintain the integrity of the company and products offered by complying with GAAP regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $50k-$55k per annum, targeted towards the top end of this range based on relevant experience. Additionally, we provide full employee health, dental, and vision insurance, with family coverage options. Our benefits package also includes short-term and long-term disability, voluntary life insurance, 401(k) matching up to 4%, paid time off increasing with tenure, and eight fixed holidays plus two floating holidays.
