About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Clackamas, Oregon. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, day shift.

About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work under general supervision and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
  • Develop individualized nursing plans of care that take into account patients' developmental needs.
  • Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other hospital and clinic departments and community agencies.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patients' responses to treatment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of nine (9) months of RN experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Computer keyboarding skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous healthcare experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
