**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an Insurance Sales and Service Specialist to join our team at CommunityAmerica Credit Union.

About the Role:

This is a sales position that is also service-centric. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling insurance products directly to interested members as well as providing information and service support to both internal and external constituents regarding insurance products for members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as both the internal and external point-of-contact in addressing questions and concerns regarding retail insurance products, coverages/exclusions policy information, benefit and claim information
  • Develop a client base over the long term by responding to credit union member inquiries for their retail insurance needs, primarily home, auto, small business, and life insurance
  • Approach potential clients by effectively utilizing email, phone, virtual meetings, and, occasionally, in person contact
  • Determine clients' particular needs and financial situations by scheduling fact-finding appointments, ascertaining long-term goals, and then presenting the right insurance solutions to address the individuals needs
  • Act as primary staff and member contact in addressing questions and concerns regarding retail insurance products, coverages/exclusions policy information
  • Develop a coordinated protection plan by calculating and quoting rates, with multiple carriers, to address client needs and accomplish long-term protection strategy
  • Obtain underwriting approval by completing application for coverage
  • Complete coverage by delivering policy and planning future follow-up visits and evaluations of needs
  • Provide continuing service by processing policy changes and assisting members and clients with their ongoing insurance needs
  • Provide guidance related to the claims process claims for insurance product portfolio
  • Provide information necessary to make sound product recommendations (i.e., marketing, customer service and administrative support affecting members/brokers/vendors from initial submission through policy issuance, renewals and cancellations)
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of entire credit union protection portfolio in order to portray confidence and credibility to internal and external constituents
  • Become a partner to other credit union areas of service
  • Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union/CUSO values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred
  • 7 years of insurance sales and service experience
  • Financial institution experience is preferred
  • Licensed Agent Property, Casualty, Life, and Health in Missouri or Kansas required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and services in a sales role
  • Claims processing knowledge
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to project a high degree of professionalism and positive image of themselves and the Credit Union/CUSO

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000-$100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
