Job OverviewThis part-time position is available to undergraduate students who have been awarded federal work study funds as part of their financial aid package. The role requires a minimum of six hours (half-time) enrollment during Fall and Spring semesters, or three hours (quarter-time) during Summer semesters.
ResponsibilitiesAs a student assistant, you will be responsible for performing various tasks that are relevant to your course of study. These may include office assistance, technical support, laboratory work, and other duties as assigned by the appointing authority.
RequirementsTo be eligible for this position, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen;
- Not have any prior institutional balance or blocks;
- Have transportation to off-campus worksites;
- Meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress standards set by Dallas College;
- Complete required Dallas College professional development training hours.
Normal physical job functions will be performed within a standard office environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with physical challenges to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
CompensationThe hourly rate for this position is $15.00 per hour. This is a part-time role, and the number of hours worked will vary depending on the needs of the department and the student's course schedule.
