About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrophysiology Lab Technologist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a travel healthcare professional with Focus Staff, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects while enjoying the flexibility of temporary assignments.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of technical tasks related to implanted cardiac device management, including implant checks, device troubleshooting, and pre-emptive care. Additionally, they will assist with diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures, prepare supplies and instruments, and maintain a sterile field.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform hemodynamic and ECG monitoring, interpreting data as necessary
  • Scrub assist for all diagnostic and electrophysiology procedures, preparing supplies and instruments
  • Maintain a sterile field, prepare and manipulate cardiac catheters, guide-wires, and devices
  • Inject contrast media and medications from the sterile field under physician supervision
  • Document procedures and patient information according to hospital policy
  • Assist with inventory control and coordinate procedure schedules

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Proven experience as an Electrophysiology Lab Technologist
  • Independent decision-making skills
  • Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
  • Able to relate positively to residents and families, working cooperatively with other employees
  • Meet local health regulations and complete a post-offer health assessment

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a contract/temporary position, with a competitive pay package based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week. The estimated salary for this role is $82,500 - $102,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Additional benefits include health insurance coverage, 401(k) matching, and new licensing reimbursement.
