Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at UNFI in Carlisle. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide recommendations for the repair or replacement of poorly functioning equipment.
  • Prioritize repair schedules to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems, including brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and provide improvements to the DC and safety team.
  • Maintain a well-stocked department with parts and tools necessary for the job.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and filter changes.
  • Replace broken or defective parts and order replacement parts for major repairs.
  • Modify and test equipment to improve system uptime and reliability.
  • Update and review daily maintenance logs.
  • FOLLOW all safety policies and procedures strictly.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of technical maintenance or related experience/training.
  • Good judgment and ability to work independently.
  • Understanding of safety guidelines, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to read and understand blueprints and technical reference manuals.
