Salary Range:

We offer a competitive salary range of $28.00 to $29.23 annualized. The selected candidate's salary will be determined based on their experience, education, specialty, and training.

Job Description:

The Lead Dispensing Nurse Manager will work in partnership with the Nurse Supervisor and Program/Medical Director to ensure the delivery of adequate and qualitative nursing coverage for all program and dispensing operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that physicians' medication orders are enacted meeting time expectations, including delivery to outside facilities.
  • Leading Medical Services to be in compliance with Federal and state regulations.
  • Delegating tasks to certified nursing assistants, medication technicians, or unlicensed personnel who are competent to perform those tasks.
  • Communicating and collaborating with the Nursing Supervisor regarding potential issues.
  • Scheduling and participating in Treatment Teams, Panel Review, Department Head, and General Staff meetings.
  • Nursing team management - time clock edits as necessary, developing and managing schedules, conducting performance improvement activities, and preparing monthly reports.
  • Reviewing and resolving client clinical complaints; intervening in crisis situations.
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Licensure in Maryland as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Prior experience in substance abuse, mental health treatment, or addiction medicine is preferred.
  • Accuracy of record keeping with understanding of HIPAA, Federal, State & CARF standards & regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies.
  • Fundamental knowledge of professional nursing principles, techniques, basic addiction medicine science, and community health and welfare resources.
  • Ability to carry out written and oral instructions; exercise judgment in applying nursing care; accept and use supervision; work cooperatively with people; maintain an objective attitude; exercise tact and initiative; stimulate patients and families to constructive actions; grasp and apply basic principles of administration and operation of a health program; and communicate effectively.
  • Computer proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Suite.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
