Department Coordinator Liaison

At California State University, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Department Coordinator to support our Military Science department. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, handling administrative tasks, coordinating events, and maintaining compliance with university regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional administrative support to the Department Chair and staff, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and preparing correspondence.
- Act as a liaison between the department and campus services, facilitating communication and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate military training and special events for active-duty military and cadet corps, ensuring seamless execution and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate records and files, adhering to confidentiality and data protection protocols.

About the Role:
- This is a part-time (0.6 time-base) position, eligible for benefits, with a standard schedule of Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.
- The employee works 10 months per year, with anticipated off-months in June and July, and is paid over 12 months.
- This role is approved for partial telecommuting with onsite work in San Diego.
Requirements:
- A fully functional knowledge of standard office procedures and practices.
- An ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders.
- Prior experience working with student populations and presenting to varying-sized audiences is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $3,220 - $5,060 per month, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.
