Laboratory Scientist

At St. Charles Health System, we are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our laboratory department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of clinical test results.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests, interpreting results, and reporting findings to healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and interpret laboratory tests on various human biological specimens
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results through quality control and quality assurance procedures
- Document results and report critical findings to healthcare providers in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure seamless testing processes
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science from an accredited college or university
- Current national certification or licensure at the Technologist/Scientist level by one or more of the following accredited credentialing agencies: ASCP, AMT, AAB, HEW, and California Department of Health Services
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure
We offer a competitive salary range of $36.44 - $54.67 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will also receive opportunities for professional growth and development within our organization.
