Northern Children's Services is seeking a dedicated Youth Violence Prevention Specialist Early Intervention Peer to join our team in Philadelphia. This role plays a vital part in helping children, youth, and families overcome the challenges of violence and achieve a brighter future.

About the Role

This position requires strong communication skills, empathy, and a deep understanding of the community behavioral health system in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will have lived experience with the system and exposure to violence, as well as two years of case management or counseling experience working with children and families.

  • Support families in navigating systems and accessing resources
  • Develop and implement service coordination plans in conjunction with treatment teams
  • Facilitate caregiver engagement with service providers and model collaboration between families, communities, and systems
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a human services field preferred
  • Lived experience with the community behavioral health system in Philadelphia and exposure to violence
  • Two years of case management or counseling experience with children and families
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to adapt to changing needs. This role requires occasional travel throughout Philadelphia and may involve evening and weekend hours.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
