Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Faculty Group Practice Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care, focusing on an understanding of health maintenance, illness, hospitalization, procedures, or diagnostic testing.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient-centered care
• Maintain current knowledge and competence in LPN scope of practice
• Support the mission, philosophy, and standards of NYULH
• Collect patient data systematically using appropriate assessment techniques
• Enforce adherence to NYULH policies and procedures, including HIPAA and Compliance
• Participate in coordination of unit activities to provide patient care in a healing environment
• Engage in self-assessment and participate in activities to promote professional growth
• Obtain patient vital signs, weights, EKGs as needed, and perform blood collection/phlebotomy as required
• Administer medications according to NYULMC clinical guidelines and NYS Scope of Practice
• Assist with maintaining patient flow to and from exam rooms and treatment areas

Patient Experience:

• Serve as a brand ambassador by upholding NYULH's Mission, vision, and values and promoting excellence in the patient experience
• Collaborate with colleagues and site management to ensure a positive experience and timely resolution for all patient interactions and inquiries
• Anticipate patient needs and participate in service recovery by applying the LEARN model (Listen, Empathize, Apologize, Resolve, Notify)

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, you must have a Graduate of LPN program with current NYS OP LPN licensure and registration. You should be able to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team environment that prioritizes a positive patient care experience. Physical stamina, manual dexterity, visual and aural acuity are also essential for this role.

The salary range for this position is $65,858 annually.
