Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Cummins. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding diesel engines and other customer equipment in a service shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete complex repairs and rebuilds on diesel engines and other customer equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines, including utilizing computers and software in diagnostic work.
  • Apply documented procedures and policies to complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
  • Complete required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, and warranty claims.
  • Ongoing training and additional certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
Requirements
  • Intermediate level of experience as a diesel technician.
  • Qualified to perform work on a moderate number of products in-scope for a diesel technician at this location.
  • Primarily engaged in moderately complex maintenance and repair.
  • Some exposure to moderate or complex diagnostics.

CDL preferred. Must be willing to occasionally work on the road if needed.

This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free of major violations. This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.

This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical. This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use.

Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age.
