Job Summary: Care Dimensions is a leading provider of compassionate care and support to patients and families facing advanced or end-of-life illnesses. As a Spiritual Counselor on our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering spiritual support and care that aligns with each patient's unique needs and beliefs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and coordinate the provision of spiritual support to patients and families in accordance with the hospice plan of care.
  • Work under the supervision of the Clinical Manager to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination of care.
  • Engage with patients and families to understand their spiritual needs and preferences, and provide compassionate care and support accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your knowledge and skills in spiritual care and counseling.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and in good working order.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field, such as Master of Divinity or Theology, preferred or equivalent theological education.
  • Minimum two years of pastoral experience in a hospital or community ministry preferred.
  • Certificate of Ordination preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to be open, flexible, and ecumenical in your approach to spiritual care and counseling.
  • Experience counseling patients and families who are dealing with terminal illness.
  • Demonstrated understanding of hospice philosophy and principles.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and prioritize care coordination.
