Speech Pathologist/Audiologist Specialist 2 Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist/Audiologist Specialist 2 to join our team at the State of Washington. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide speech pathology services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, developing and implementing formal communication programs and interventions to address identified communication needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and supervise formal communication programs and interventions for clients with intellectual disabilities.
- Provide individual written assessments and evaluations for intellectually disabled populations with multiple disabilities related to speech, language, or hearing disabilities.
- Evaluate recommendations and monitor clients with dysphagia, working within an interdisciplinary team to develop intervention programs that support team-identified priorities.
- Design and construct adaptive equipment for communication, evaluate and acquire communication devices, and create communication displays using graphic software.
- Consult with other professionals and staff on program development and provide coaching and training to caregivers, communication partners, and team members.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology or Communicative Disorders, or documentation of an American Speech-Language Hearing Association-approved equivalent.
- Licensed by the State of Washington as a Speech Language Pathologist and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
- Two years of experience as a speech pathologist or audiologist is preferred.
