Job Overview

The Advanced Satcom Systems and Operations Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated and skilled summer intern to engage in design, analysis, modeling, and/or simulation of novel aspects for future wireless communications systems.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work with abstract concepts, and skills and experience in one or more of the following areas are required: C/C++, Java, database design, graphical user interfaces, and XML. A background in signal processing or digital communications is beneficial, but not required.

The selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analysis, modeling, and/or simulation of novel aspects for future wireless communications systems
  • Development of signal processing, machine learning, information theory, and/or algorithm development for advanced communication satellites
  • Collaboration with the Advanced Satcom Systems and Operations Group to advance the state of SATCOM technology

Requirements

  • Working on a PhD, MS, or BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Ability to work with abstract concepts
  • Skills and experience in one or more of the following areas: C/C++, Java, database design, graphical user interfaces, and XML
