New Hanover County Schools is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating students with communication disorders. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). You will also need to be eligible for a NC SLP teaching license and have a valid NC driver's license. The salary for this position will be based on the NC Psychologist Salary Scale, with a local Board-approved supplement. The school year contract will be for 10 months, with full benefits. The Speech Language Pathologist will work with students in Special Education and Related Services, providing individual and group therapy sessions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with a range of communication disorders, including articulation, language, and fluency. You will also need to be able to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans. The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting progress to parents and administrators. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
