Job Summary:

This position supports the Developmental and Behavioral Health Clinic at the University of Virginia Health System. The ideal candidate will have a background in pediatric mental health and strong documentation skills using electronic medical records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective direct care to complex patients as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Manage care and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
  • Seek and provide feedback for improved clinical practice.
  • Assume a beginning leadership role and seek mentoring in this process.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
  • 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.

Physical Demands:

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
