Procurement Manager Job Description

United Wheels Inc. (UWI) is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and international distribution of bicycles, e-bikes, and rideable toys. We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our team and contribute to our global product procurement strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a best-in-class supplier base to meet customer demand.
  • Negotiate product prices and payment terms to meet or exceed company goals.
  • Purchase products at a competitive cost without compromising quality and delivery from viable, innovative, and socially responsible sources.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular visits and performance evaluations.
  • Work closely with Category/Product Management Teams to ensure seamless new product introductions and model changeovers.
  • Research and analyze potential suppliers to support strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely supplier cost records in our ERP system.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of three years of prior procurement and materials management experience, ideally in an international environment.
  • Comprehensive communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain a valid passport for approximately 10-15% travel.
