Staff RN ICU Full Time Day/Evening Split Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Morton Hospital. As a Staff RN ICU, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:The Staff RN ICU will be responsible for coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and a passion for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Documents initial and ongoing patient assessment in a complete, concise, and timely manner according to policy and procedure.
- Develops and modifies an effective, comprehensive, and individualized plan of care including discharge planning for assigned patients.
- Applies knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
- Initiates and coordinates patient teaching according to identified needs.
- Delegates responsibilities for care, when applicable, and makes assignments according to skills of caregiver.
- Evaluates patient responses to interventions according to established policy and procedure.
- Demonstrates an ability to plan and supervise other patient caregivers in providing patient care on unit while functioning as a professional role model.
- Administers medication and performs treatments, utilizing principles of aseptic technique to assigned patient according to established policy and procedure.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, BSN preferred.
- Minimum of one year of RN experience.
- MA RN License.
- BLS and/or ACLS required.
- Additional certification required where applicable.
