Job Summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Test Technician 3 to join our team. As a key member of our electrical testing team, you will be responsible for administering, organizing, and implementing electrical testing programs for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement electrical testing programs for duty sites, serving as a subject matter expert on operations and maintenance programs.
  • Manage or train operations staff to operate and update system control applications, maximizing efficiency and revising operating controls as needed.
  • Assist in the development of methods, standard operating procedures, and training programs for operators to monitor and control complex mechanical, electrical, life safety, and building control systems.
  • Manage the integration, reliability, and functionality of building control systems, including SCADA, Delta Controls, and Life Safety Systems.
  • Coordinate with program managers to optimize monitoring system performance and meet government energy goals.
  • Provide oversight, troubleshoot operational problems, and assume supervisory responsibility during electrical testing activities.
  • Assist in developing electrical work and project schedules, as well as implementing ORM safety procedures and safety meetings.
  • Conduct short circuit studies, Arc Flash studies, and other specialized testing and analysis.
Requirements
  • 7-9 years of experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
  • NETA II or NICET equivalent certification.
  • Reliable transportation.

Abilities
  • Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period.
  • Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
  • Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  • Possesses good vision, the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
  • Tells when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
  • Applies general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Combines pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
  • Sees details at close range.
  • LISTENS to and understands information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
