Job Summary:

We are seeking an Assembler II who will work cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture and assemble high-quality glass, doors, frames, and subcomponents. The successful candidate will follow work orders and SOPs to meet daily safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble or produce component parts into sub-assemblies, assemblies, and completed units adhering to the assembly traveler/standard work instructions.
  • Use hand tools, electric tools, and pneumatic tools to perform jobs.
  • Maintain acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping.
  • Perform minor adjustments or setups to equipment or machines under supervision.
  • Inspect parts or completed units using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to their lead person or department supervisor.
  • Follow SOPs and instructions from lead and supervisors.
  • Cross-train team members and processes and assist with production as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1-2 years of production assembly work.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic reading/writing skills.
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding of 6S.
  • Ability to read and understand all job specifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced and complex environment.
