Our diverse team of 17,000 associates plays an integral role in our People First culture, Operational Excellence, and Insights that Drive Solutions. This position is responsible for working independently to display and stock products, ensuring the financial best interest of the store. Additionally, this role is accountable for meeting company guidelines for guest experience and complying with company guidelines for safety and food safety.
- We are seeking a highly skilled individual to process financial transactions accurately and in accordance with company policy. This includes handling cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, bottle refunds, voids, and coupons.
- The successful candidate will assist in receiving, unloading, and stocking products in required areas of the store. They will also be responsible for front-end duties such as running the cash register, suggestive selling (lottery, etc.), enrolling guests in loyalty programs, and maintaining a clean and neat service area.
- This role requires the ability to ensure proper use of product identification and corresponding PLUs; report errors in pricing or signage. The associate must maintain understanding of current store programs and product locations.
- We expect the selected candidate to communicate Company programs (i.e., loyalty program, scans, etc.) in-store specials, and coupons to customers, and model high standards of service to achieve a customer-oriented store.
- This position involves compliance with Company policies regarding security, cash handling/cash drawer accounting procedures, product handling (i.e., damaged/spoiled products), the sale of alcohol and tobacco products, etc.
- The successful candidate will maintain a clean and well-stocked department and outside grounds; ensure the department complies with Company safety and sanitation procedures and standards.
- This role requires the ability to assist with stocking items on the sales floor, cooler, and back room.
- The selected candidate must follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
- They will also follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
- Additionally, they will follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
- The candidate may be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.
We offer a competitive salary for this role, estimated to be around $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on location and experience. If you have a High school diploma or GED, one year of prior retail or related experience, good verbal communication skills, good customer service and organizational skills, and basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, you may be a great fit for this position.
