Assembly Technician

At Trail King Industries, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assembler I to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and accessorizing trailers to meet customer specifications and Trail King standards.

1. Install all parts on trailers and assemblies not installed prior to painting.
2. Install tires on trailers per order and torque down all wheels with a nut runner as per specifications.
3. Install stripes, company decals, informational, and safety decals as specified.
4. Verify each order for customer specifications on equipment required.
5. Touch up paint with aerosol spray cans and quart cup guns as needed.
6. Adjust brakes as directed.
7. Handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials properly.
8. Follow standard work and procedures.
9. Operate various equipment and tools required to perform job duties.
10. Use a respirator when performing paint touch-up.
11. Pass a pre-employment and annual pulmonary function test (PFT) with acceptable results.
12. Move around, on, and underneath trailers using a creeper.
13. Handle tires and torque wrench.
14. Cut and install decking material on trailers.

1. Ability to use measuring tools and devices accurately.
2. Ability to apply basic math skills with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
3. Possess basic computer skills.
4. Possess the ability to read and follow instructions.

1. Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift.
2. Willingness to fluctuate hours to accommodate needs.
3. Perform duties that require standing, kneeling, walking, sitting, climbing, bending, and twisting.
4. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
5. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
6. Exposed to changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes, and near moving machinery.
7. Annual training required for management of hazardous waste.
