About the Role

Staples, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a high-performing team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment. As a key member of our leadership team, you will drive sales and customer engagement, grow services in the store, and ensure the store is ready for business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute plans to drive sales and customer engagement
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on providing an exceptional store experience
  • Establish business cadence for sales readiness and provide direction daily for merchandising opportunities
  • Assist with delegating operational tasks in partnership with the General Manager
  • Shared responsibility for total store operations and cost control

Requirements

  • 2+ years leading a sales team in a retail or services industry
  • Experience leading a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment
  • Strong communication, organization, planning, team development, and adaptability to changing business priorities
  • Development of team through observations, coaching, and feedback
  • Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range, climb ladders, stand, and walk continuously
