Job Title: Welder

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team at QPS Employment Group. As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding parts according to specification sheets, reading and understanding blueprints, and setting up jigs and fixtures for welding. If you have a strong background in TIG welding and experience in assembly, machine building, and lean manufacturing, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Weld parts according to specification sheets
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Set up jigs and fixtures for welding according to blueprint specifications
  • Measure dimensions of workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Use of measuring equipment (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
  • Check work for quality conformance and report any defects to the supervisor
  • Clean and organize work area
  • Set up and operation of associated fab equipment

Requirements:
  • At least two years of experience in TIG welding
  • Previous assembly experience preferred, machine building experience a plus
  • Lean manufacturing experience a plus
  • Good math and measurement skills
  • Able to read blueprints
