Job Summary:

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is a world-renowned institution for cancer care, and we are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of cancer treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by radiation oncologists and obtain localization images according to planned treatment delivery.
  • Assist physicians or nurses in the administration of contrast agents used during treatment localization.
  • Perform measurements for use during treatment calculation and collect and document data acquired during simulation procedures.
  • Accurately input treatment-related data into verify-and-record systems.
  • Provide explanations for treatment-related procedures and reinforce patient education/side effect management information.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly treatment room and participate in regulatory compliance activities.

Requirements:
  • Completion of a formal radiation therapy technology program in a JRCERT-accredited institution.
  • ARRT Registration in good standing or Board Eligibility within six months of hire.
  • Maintain 24 CEU's per Biennium as required for ARRT Certification and Licensure.
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of beginning employment.
