Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Primary Care Medical Assistant to join our team at Mercy.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic primary care environment, providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for visits with providers by completing Advanced Standard room process, including entering chief complaints, taking vital signs, reviewing patient history and allergies, and completing medication reconciliation.
  • Assist with in-office testing, including drawing blood, conducting mental status exams, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
  • Administer vaccines and injections within scope of practice.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as needed per office policy.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical care teams to monitor and coordinate delivery of care plans.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
Salary and Benefits
