Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) reports to the Manager and works under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide individualized, goal-directed, and family-centered patient care. This position requires the LPN to demonstrate proficiency according to the laws governing nursing in South Carolina and deliver safe and effective care while interacting with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results and outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in a busy adult Oncology clinic
  • Work as a team member to deliver quality and safety of care for patients
  • Perform patient triage, in-clinic procedures, assessments, patient education, medication administration, CVC line care, obtaining EKG, and care coordination
  • Collaborate with providers, social workers, pharmacists, and phlebotomists to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program
  • Minimum of six months experience as LPN required
  • Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state
  • A current CPR card is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Computer literacy
Work Environment

The LPN will work in a fast-paced Oncology clinic environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members. The position requires the ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
