**Job Summary**

We are seeking qualified Staff Nurses to join our team at the Holden Cancer Center - Chemo Infusion Suite. As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for applying nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patient responses to health and illness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient health care preferences and expectations
  • Collaboratively coordinate the continuum of care across settings
  • Develop patient care plans based on patient condition, age, and psychological, educational, and socioeconomic conditions
  • Implement patient care plans according to patient priorities and document interventions and patient/family response
  • Collaborate with patients and families to integrate their contributions into multidisciplinary patient care plans
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement transfer/discharge planning throughout the episode of care
  • Implement nursing interventions according to department, division, and/or unit policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff

Requirements:

  • Current license to practice in the state of Iowa by the time of hire
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
  • General computer skills

Compensation:** $60,589 minimum at 100% effort, commensurate with years of experience and percent effort.

**Education and Qualifications:**

  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required
  • Active enrollment in a BSN program is desirable if a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is not yet obtained
