Labor Relations Director

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a highly skilled Director of Labor Relations to join our Americas Outage and Maintenance Services team. This individual will be responsible for managing and employee relations, labor relations, personnel administration, administration of employee programs, safety programs, and risk management programs.
The Director of Labor Relations will be responsible for developing, interpreting, and recommending program goals and objectives, policies and procedures, and courses of action. This individual will also be responsible for managing the labor relations activities according to established guidelines and sound administrative practices and in accordance with the organization's mission, values, and goals.
This position will be based out of our Piedmont, SC location but can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business or public administration, or a closely related field, and at least six years of experience in human resource management, three of which must have been in a responsible labor relations position, and three of which must have been in a supervisory position.
The Director of Labor Relations will be responsible for:
- Formulating and recommending program goals and objectives in all areas of labor relations.
- Developing, implementing, and administering the management-labor relations area of the personnel program in an effort to improve labor relations.
- Ensuring company compliance with the collective bargaining agreement.
- Investigating problems such as working conditions, disciplinary actions, and employee and applicant appeals and grievances.
- Preparing and presenting required and special reports.
- Developing and presenting the operating budget for the labor relations department.
