Veterinary Care Specialist

At Somerset Animal Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering top-notch medical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with patient care and treatment, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
- Prepare patients for surgery and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare specimens for outside laboratories.
- Provide basic animal handling and restrain animals during exams.
- Communicate effectively with clients and veterinarians to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
- Previous veterinary experience preferred.
- Ability to work on weekends as required.
- Basic math skills and ability to calculate medication dosages.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
