Job Title: Shop Foreman - 2nd Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to join our team at AA Asphalting, LLC. As a Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy equipment, including trucks, pavers, backhoes, and excavators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist mechanics in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment
  • Adjust repair priorities as needed to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Complete routine LOF inspections and annual DOT inspections on trucks, machinery, and equipment
  • Assist in the fabrication of necessary parts and tools required for repairs
  • Keep accurate maintenance records of all repairs
  • Comply with all safety regulations and practices preventive safety measures

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in manual transmission service and diagnosis
  • 5 years of experience in hydraulic brake repair and troubleshooting
  • 5 years of experience in air brake repair and troubleshooting
  • 2 years of experience in electric brake repair and troubleshooting (preferred)
  • 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic (not preventive or oil changes)
  • 3 years of experience in supervisory roles
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Must have experience with computerized diagnostic equipment
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • CDL Class A preferred, with assistance available for obtaining a CDL Class A
  • Excellent communication skills
