At the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), we are seeking an experienced International Trade Compliance and Regulatory Expert to join our team. As a key member of our International Trade Compliance Office (ITCO) Section, you will play a critical role in helping us navigate complex trade regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). A strong background in trade licensing and compliance, as well as excellent organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office programs and Adobe Acrobat, are essential for success in this position.

You will be responsible for reviewing program and project proposals and contracts to determine licensing and compliance requirements associated with various foreign interaction complexities. This includes recommending import/export contract clauses that facilitate the use of ITAR and EAR exemptions, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), and Manufacturing License Agreements (MLAs).

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also need to possess strong interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to obtain an interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and ultimately obtain a Top Secret clearance is also required.

We offer a competitive salary range of $63,000 - $175,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
