Job Overview

D.R. Horton, Inc., a leading homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking an experienced Escrow Assistant for their Financial Services Escrow Branch in Lakeville, Minnesota. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing escrow files, ordering necessary information, and ensuring timely closings.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. You will work closely with our branch manager and other team members to achieve seamless transactions and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and send opening letters and acknowledgements to all parties involved in the escrow process.
  • Order title commitments, distribute them to relevant parties, and update payoff/assumption statements as requested.
  • Prepare receipts for funds received from customers and/or lenders, order wire transfers, and provide wiring instructions.
  • Clear title requirements, prepare loan packages for return to lenders, and conduct simple cash and seller carryback pre-audits.
  • Assist the branch manager with administrative tasks, open refinance orders, receive builder reports, and schedule closings.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • An Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school;
  • At least six months to one year of related experience and/or training;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Familiarity with escrow procedures and processes.
