Palliative Care Physician Assistant

Optum is seeking a dedicated Palliative Care APC to join our team in Torrance, CA. As a clinician-led care organization, we're changing the way clinicians work and live.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a palliative care setting
- Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients
- Collaborating with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience
Requirements:
- Master's degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification beyond a four-year college
- Certificate of completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
- Unrestricted California Advanced Practice Clinician license
- Current AANP/ANCC/NCCPA certification
- Current California DEA certificate required prior to start date
- 2+ years of experience in ambulatory care or a similar environment
- EMR proficiency
- Excellent patient care and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as a team player, and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Critical Care, Palliative, or Geriatrics certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience in a managed care setting and working with medically complex patients
- Fluency in Spanish
